As a Paramedic lecturer it is hard to really get your students to have an understanding as to what it's like to be at a scene. So by using Virtual Reality I could place my class in the same scene and create discussion about different things that are happening within the scene. So the thought would be to film with a student wearing a 3D GoPro rig. The thought would be is the whole class gets to be in the scenario and therefore create discussion after the fact. 6. Week 12 “Mobile Virtual reality” Project Banks
Explore mobile Virtual Reality (VR) then create and share a mobile VR project using Google Cardboard to the Project Bank. Note: you can purchase a Google Cardboard kit for under $10 from either Trademe.co.nz or from Amazon.com – or make your own from a large Pizza box :-) Google Cardboard Apps for Android can be downloaded from the Google Play Store, and there are several compatible iPhone Apps available in the iTunes Store (for example: “The Height”, “VisitVR“, “Rocket” etc…) Rate another participant’s mobile VR project.
